Can I bring my family, friends and anyone else to my piercing appointment?

No. To protect the safety and health of our licensed practitioners, we ask that the person scheduled to receive a piercing is the ONLY person to come back to the piercing room. The only exception to this are minors who are allowed one (1) parent/guardian into the piercing room with them. However, your friends, family and anyone else who wants to come with you are allowed to wait in the lobby with you!

Will you pierce baby ears?

We do not pierce babies and likely never will. The youngest that we will pierce is age 10.

First, babies cannot consent to the procedure. While ear piercing may not seem like a big deal, it is a permanent change to your child’s appearance. We feel it’s important for the child to be old enough to ask for this permanent scar and to understand what that means to them. Bodily autonomy is a very important concept to us, and we feel that performing piercings on children without their consent violates that.

Children’s ears also change size and shape significantly the first few years of their lives. This makes placing piercings on babies in such a way that they will be centered, even, and attractive difficult if not impossible. We redo many, many piercings on older children and adults to fix bad placement from being pierced as a baby.

How old do you have to be to get a piercing in Oregon?

18 years old. A parent or legal guardian must present a current government-issued photo ID and sign a consent form before a child under 18 who’s in their care may be pierced in Oregon. However, the piercing establishment is not required to verify the authenticity of the person signing the consent form. If a facility fails to obtain a consent form prior to piercing a minor, though, they are violating state law and subject to disciplinary action.

We will pierce between the ages of 10-17 with in person parental consent.

How much will my piercing cost?

We don’t have a price list for a reason; the cost of your piercing is the cost of the jewelry you choose in our shop before you get pierced! We have something for everyones budget and do not charge an additional piercing fee, ever. Read more about our jewelry standards for initial piercings here.

Do you use a piercing gun?

Absolutely not. PIERCING GUNS CAN CAUSE SIGNIFICANT TISSUE DAMAGE. Piercing guns are NEVER appropriate, and are often dangerous when used on anything — including earlobes. Please read more here.

Can I get pierced while pregnant or nursing?

We do not pierce anyone who is pregnant or nursing. Your system is under tremendous stress from dramatic changes that leave you and your baby susceptible to increased risks of infection, allergic reaction and/or rejection. It is best to wait until you are finished nursing before considering a new tattoo or piercing.
